IT WILL BE OUR LEGACY.....
In a letter to all NHS-1963 Classmates back in 2013 (just prior to our 50th class reunion), the Class Reunion Committee wrote that, "We are proud to say that our class is exceptionally close -- we’ve had many excellent, well attended reunions through the years, thanks in no small part to your generosity and school spirit. You’ve helped make our class reunions reasonably affordable for all attendees, and have helped keep us out of the red".
All good, but with that said, we were hoping to do more to commemorate the 50th anniversary of our graduation from NHS.
Giving back something of real significance to our alma mater and its students has become the mission of the NHS Class of 1963. Beginning with the "10K for 50" fundraiser in honor of our 50th class reunion, members of NHS-1963 not only met the original $10,000 fundraising goal, but literally blew right by it as we collected over $20,000 in classmate contributions. A truly outstanding and amazing response by all of our NHS-1963 classmates.
And because of the generosity of the Class of 1963, 31 scholarships sponsored by the Class of 1963 totaling over $108,000 have been awarded since 2013 to graduating seniors of NHS South.
