OUR TATTLERS
So, what's a Tattler anyway?
Well, according to Wikipedia (which didn't even exist on 1963), Tattler may refer to "A person who likes to tattle, gossip or telltale". The dictionary says a tattler is someone who gossips indiscreetly -- a blabbermouth, a rumormonger, a person given to gossiping and divulging personal information about others. All that sounds like "Kurious Kate" but the Tattlers of our years were a lot more than just gossip. Here is every issue as published during our high school years, including all the ads. Enjoy.

OUR BROADCASTERS
It all seems a bit juvenile now but the Spring Street Junior High Broadcasters gave us kids one of the first opportunities (perhaps the only opportunity) to be "published". We all remember thinking that it was such a waste of time to be assigned by our English teacher to write something of "lasting relevance" for the next issue of the Broadcaster (another boring, make-work English assignment); that is, until our piece was selected for publication in the Broadcaster and we were instantly proud and famous. Funny how that worked.
Here are most of the Broadcasters from the 7th, 8th and 9th grades at Spring Street Junior High. We start with the Graduation issue of 1960, and work backwards. The Graduation issue of 1960 is of particular interest as it includes group pictures of each of our 9th grade Divisions, as well as each Division's class prophecy.
How many of those predictions came true ????
