WINNERS OF THE NHS-1963 SCHOLARSHIP CLASS OF 2013
In 2013, $1,000 scholarships were awarded to Miriam Lewis and Caitlin Neery.
Miriam had a strong interest in pursuing a career in Education, as demonstrated by her role as the Vice-President, then President, of the Future Educator’s Association (FEA). She also demonstrated a passion and talent for writing, as evidenced by her role as editor of the Tattler, as student writer for the Nashua Telegraph and for authoring her own children's book (“Oh Mom”). Miriam also was 4 year member of the NHS South Tennis team, serving as captain during her senior year.
Caitlin was a member of the National Honor Society and finished in the top 5% of her graduating class. She has a strong interest in pursuing a career as a Medical Professional, either as a nurse or physician’s assistant, as demonstrated by her membership in HOSA, and performing healthcare related volunteer work. In addition, Caitlin was a member of the band for several years as well as being a cheerleader for all four years.
